PNB 2700 Post Notification 2024:- 

Punjab National Bank invites applications from Indian citizens for engagement as apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 (as amended from time to time).

Online Registration of Application: – 30.06.2024 to 14.07.2024

Online Examination:-  28.07.2024

Fee:- 

PwBD Rs. 400/-+GST @18% = Rs.472/-
Female/ SC/ ST Rs. 600/-+GST @18% = Rs.708/-
GEN/OBC Rs. 800/-+GST@18% = Rs.944/-

Education:- Graduate degree in any discipline from any Institute/ College/ University recognized/ approved by Govt.
bodies/ AICTE/ UGC. The result of the qualification must have been declared on or before 30.06.2024
and candidate must produce Mark Sheets and Provisional/ Degree Certificate issued from the University/
College/ Institute as and when required by the Bank.
The candidates applying for training seats of a particular State/ UT, should be proficient (reading, writing,
speaking and understanding) in local language of that State/UT.

Who Apply :- A candidate must be either
i. a citizen of India or
ii. a subject of Nepal or
iii. a subject of Bhutan or
iv. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries
of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia,
Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India,
provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii) & (iv) above shall be a person in whose
favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age Limits :- 

Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 30.06.2024 i.e. candidates must have been born not
earlier than 30.06.1996 and not later than 30.06.2004. Maximum age indicated is for unreserved and
EWS candidates.

Age Upper limits For SC/ST/OBC :- 

(i) Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe 05 Years
(ii) Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer) 03 Years
(iii) Persons with Benchmark Disability as defined under “The
Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016” 10 Years.

Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs):- 

(i) Individuals not covered under existing reservation schemes for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes (Central List) with a family gross annual income below Rs. 8.00 lakh (Rupees eight lakh only) are identified as EWS for reservation benefits. The income includes all sources such as salary, agriculture, business, profession, etc., for the financial year preceding the application year. Additionally, persons whose family owns or possesses any of the following assets are excluded from being identified as EWS, regardless of family income:
1. 5 acres of agricultural land or more;
2. Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. or more;
3. Residential plot of 100 sq. yards or more in notified municipalities;
4. Residential plot of 200 sq. yards or more in areas other than notified municipalities.

(ii) Property held by a “Family” in different locations or cities will be combined to apply the land or property holding test to determine EWS status.

(iii) The benefit of reservation under EWS can be availed upon production of an Income and Asset Certificate issued by an authority notified by the Government of India in the prescribed format, which will be the only accepted proof of a candidate’s claim of belonging to EWS.

(iv) For this purpose, the term “Family” includes the individual seeking reservation benefits, their parents, and siblings below the age of 18 years, as well as their spouse and children below the age of 18 years.

Salary;-
The engaged apprentices are eligible for following stipend per month for the contract period of one year.

Metro city –  15,000.

Exam Process :- 

1- General/ Financial Awareness :- No. of Questions 25 – Max marks 25.
2. General English :- No. of Questions 25 – Max marks 25.
3. Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude :- No. of Questions 25 – Max marks 25.
4. Computer Knowledge :- No. of Questions 25 – Max marks 25.
Total :- No. of Questions 100 – Max marks – 100.

Test of local language:- 
1- The candidates applying for training seats of a particular State, should be proficient (reading,
writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that
State.
2 -Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having
studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
3 – For other candidates, the test for knowledge of local language will be conducted as a part
of selection process. It will be conducted when the candidate is called for document
verification by the Bank. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged as
apprentice.
