Indian bowler David Johnson passed away at the age of 52

Former Indian cricketer David Johnson, 52, tragically fell to his death from the fourth-floor balcony of his apartment in Kothanur on June 20. He sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital, where he was declared “brought dead,” according to the Kothanur Police who visited the scene. Johnson is survived by his wife and two children.

None of his family members have raised any suspicion. It appears to be an accidental fall, and there are no eyewitnesses to the incident. Additionally, no suicide note was found,” the police stated, adding that a probe is nonetheless being conducted.

Despite his brief stint at the international level, Johnson continued to contribute to cricket through coaching and mentoring young talents in Karnataka after his retirement from professional play. He passed away at the age of 52 on June 20, 2024.
